Welcome to Gary Barker Illustration

Gary Barker is originally from the northwest of England and is a graduate of Kingston and Newcastle Universities. He has a diverse academic background from graphic art to scientific disciplines.

Gary has been the political cartoonist for the BBC's Politics Show for two years, creating a weekly political cartoon, which regularly featured on the televised show and website. He now also creates a weekly business illustration for AccountancyAge magazine.

Gary's first venture into the world of creative art was as the lead graphic designer for a national clothing company, creating graphics for printing and logos for the company's clients.

He creates editorial/political and satirical/humorous work for national newspapers, international magazines, television broadcast and diverse private and public sector clients.

His most recent clients include BBC News Magazine, BBC Africa, Incisive Media, Express Newspapers, Stern Magazine, Prospect Magazine, Manx Heritage and the Berlin Metro.
