Gary is originally from northwest England and is a graduate of Kingston and Newcastle Universities. He was the political cartoonist for the BBC's Politics Show for two years, creating a weekly political cartoon for the programme. Gary also creates editorial and satirical pieces for national newspapers, international magazines, the private sector and national government.

Gary's work has appeared on BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 5, and his most recent clients include BBC News Magazine, BBC Africa, Incisive Media, Express Newspapers, Stern Magazine, Prospect Magazine, Eulenspiegel, Accountancy Age and the Berlin Metro.
