Left wing Labour leadership contender Jeremy Corbyn crushed under the clunking fist of Gordon Brown political cartoon.
In the run up to the Labour leadership vote Jeremy Corbyn was subjected not only to the full onslaught of media criticism but also from within his own party. Gordon Brown also came out against Corbyn and throwing his support behind one of the more 'moderate' candidates.
Corbyn won the election and was of course subjected to the media onslaught that many predicted. But it remains to be seen just how many of the Blairites who opposed him will continue to plot against him in the face of the membership's over-whelming mandate they handed to the new leader. Many suspect there will be defections from the party, but the first defection actually came from the Libdems to Labour when a councillor swapped parties.
