US President Elect and Russian President unlikely allies

With Trump and Putin openly stating their mutual admiration the President Elect denounces the CIA for investigating possibly Russian interference in the US presidential election and accusations that Trump was their man and so they conspired to undermine the Hillary Clinton campaign. Donald Trump was elected on a populist wave of disatisfaction with the status quo but I doubt bringing the world to the brink of all out war was the change they thought they were going to get.
