With new house building at its lowest level since the 1920s and existing real estate values going through the roof in many parts of the country, more and more people are being excluded from the chance of owning their own propeerty.

The Government has pledged to cut 'red tape' to speed up applications for development and smooth the way capitol projects and also opening up new areas for new real estate. With budgets and staff levels cut local councils are struggling to keep up the ensuing paperwork and approvals are grinding to a halt under the strain.
